X C A ceramics are made from various types of stoneware — a dense, utilitarian, non-porous clay which is fired to completion at 2100-2300 degrees Fahrenheit. The glazed surfaces are all lead-free, non-toxic, and food safe. Please avoid extreme temperature changes.
Example: Do not remove the ceramic from the refrigerator/freezer and place it immediately into a hot oven or nuke on high in the microwave.
While some X C A ceramics may be used in the microwave and dishwasher, please minimize this activity to extend longevity and maintain the original finish. This is especially important for pieces with a large amount of exposed clay (black clay vessels, etc.)
